Unfortunately, we have to inform our free CO.NR service users that the final decision has been made to close free .CO.NR domains service permanently.
Since it seems that .NR Registry as well as Nauru government are not happy any more that the domain name with their .NR extension is used to provide a free service to Internet community (see the news of Jun 30, 2016 and May 05, 2016), and thus we have no choice but to close this service.
So that all .CO.NR free domains will stop working by May 2018.
And we strongly recommend all free .CO.NR domain users to take necessary actions to move their sites to some other domains.
We could recommend the following services:
- Biz.nf Free Domains ( https://www.biz.nf/free-domain.php )
This free website hosting service provides free domains with .co.nf extension
i.e. www.domainname.co.nf - that's quite similar to .CO.NR domains.
- FreeHostingEU.com ( https://www.freehostingeu.com )
This free European web hosting service provides several free short website addresses with .eu5.net, .eu3.org, .eu3.biz extensions
i.e. www.websitename.eu5.net, companyname.eu3.biz, projectname.eu3.org, etc.
The mentioned free services are quite reliable and they should be able to provide some kind of alternative to free .CO.NR domains as well as some free web site hosting for their users.
